Excellent 19" LCD 4:3 monitor
I wanted to replace my 17" CRT with a larger LCD screen that took up less desk space. This LG model was available on eBay and I won it at a very good price.
The monitor is simple to use, no frills and has the traditional 4:3 aspect ratio rather than the widescreen formats that appear more popular now.
The display is advertised as 19" and that's what you get - the full 19" diagonal. The bevel edges are quite narrow so the monitor is not much bigger - just under 22" on the diagonal.
The stand raises the viewing area 4.5" above the desk but there is no height adjustment. The monitor viewing angle can be adjusted but there's no provision to rotate it. The monitor is easy to swivel in the circular base.
I'm running the monitor at 1280x1024 which is easy to look at and well detailed. Looking and editing photographs in Photoshop the display has good contrast, good realistic colours and fine detail.
Overall, an excellent monitor and great value second hand.
