Stick to an original Toyota key fob like this one to avoid range issues

If you are considering a copy instead of a new or used original Toyota key fob, the range might not be as good as the original key fob (as I saw in a video). I bought this unit, programmed it and it worked the first time. The old data was deleted or cleared prior to sending it to me. I read that it makes a difference (otherwise, it cannot be programmed to another car). Security/theft protection.
