Good item, but treat with care....
3 of 3 found this helpful I bought this item, as I have homes in the UK and South of France, and wanted to transport perishable goods between the UK and my other home... this consisted of sausages, bacon and cheese... The box is of good size, and general quality, but there are potential things to watch for - not faults as such, just take care.... the box is well insulated, but not designed to carry heavy loads - support the weight underneath, NOT using the handle! The ends of the handle broke, and I had to carry in my arms - plastic is well insulated, but fragile - glued the fractures, now alright... worked well in the house on mains, but rather noisy - hard to sleep with sound of fan... in car , the box worked well, except sometimes when going over a rough road, the contact between cigarette lighter point and cable was lost, so unit switched off... however, I still consider it a very good buy, as it was mostly my carelessness that caused problems - would I buy another? Yes, certainly, it saved my bacon - literally!

Car windshield cover - health issue?
When the items (2) arrived, I thought they would be good. I gave positive feedback, based on that. They are made of a concertina design, which folds down neatly and packs away. Initially, they seemed to aid a lot. Temperatures inside the car were lower, by a reasonable amount..... after a few days, the suction cups kept coming off the window, so if I did not check the cover to see if it was still in place, the car would be back to boiling temperature. This has been annoying, but the heat has been excessive, and perhaps far more than these items were designed for.
The worst part is that now, these covers have now "cooked". The aluminium (?) has melted in places, and there is a constant stream of dust from them, which covers the dashboard like fine ash. I do not know if this is toxic. It is certainly something to watch out for..... a vacuum is needed each time before I take the cars out, which somewhat negates the purpose of this item, as it takes time, which otherwise could be spent on just opening the doors and windows.
The only advantage to this item is the price, and there are probably others around at the same pricing level. However, I feel that this summer being exceptional, has shown up the weakness of this model, and perhaps others. Covers the window, when it stays in place, but is there also a safety issue with the dust?
