Great Book. Highly Recommended.
Fun to read. Very informative. Full of usable ideas with great illustrations. I highly recommend this to anyone considering backpacking.
I bought one for myself a couple of years ago and love it. Two friends bought it as well.
Bought one for my son this year as he and his family are becoming interested in backpacking.
Even if you never go backpacking, you should get it. It's that entertaining.

Shipped quickly.
When unfolded, map is HUGE. Probably will be helpful to keep us on track while driving.
Will use Google Maps in conjunction with this map to help keep our bearings.

Good paired with another camping guide.
This book is full of good camping information. The maps, however, are difficult to use. I am constantly trying to find the map locations on a state map to orient myself. For me, very confusing and unnecessary work.
A much more user-friendly book, New Mexico Campgrounds by Christina Frain, is older but so much easier to use. I use it as a first source and use the Melinda Crow book as a back-up resource.
