Praxis Works 10 Speed Wide Range Mountain Bike Cassette - 11-40
    18 Sep, 2015
Poor performance on lasts two cogs
I bought this unit and the shift on the last two cogs is far from being like the regular Shimano XT. I have played with the b-screw, used a new greased xt chain and still you can feel that sometimes it takes half a pedal turn to get it right. I think the issue comes from the 6-tooth gap between the 28 and 34 cogs and between 34 and 40 cogs which is simply too much. High on bikes, the shop I bought the cassette told me to contact the manufacturer and I will but I feel frustrated after spending 100+ pounds on this cassette. This is a better option that the common extended cog in terms of shifting, keeping the chain in place under high torque and in terms of weight (320g only). Nevertheless, my recommendation is that if you want to use it for XC racing, is it to save for an xx1 or to consider the new 11-speed shimano xt group (100g more weight though)
