light. you get what you pay for,

One of the front drawers was chipped. there was some scratching to the top of the unit which had been brushed over with white paint, On one of the drawers a locating hole hadn't been drilled and another was misaligned. I didn't return the item as I had brought it with the intention of making alterations and adding a new pine top of my own. So I doweled the misaligned hole and re-drilled along with the missing location hole. I filled the damaged draw front with glue and sawdust of the same colour wood so now it no longer shows. I stained the legs and draw fronts as light oak and added a stained pine top. If it wasn't for the alterations I intended to make this would have definitely been returned. Also as an extra note... in what world do the designers think that laminated particle board draw fronts with oblique grooves cut in, revealing the underlying particle board look nice! Staining disguised the unsightliness of this.
