Does not work very well for purpose.
I thought I had hit the jackpot when I found this. Reason being it is dish washer safe and has a built in hole cleaning feature. Sadly when it presses the garlic it does NOT squeeze it all out. It leaves too much behind. My other one do a much better job getting the most out of the press. You have to use twice as many cloves with this dish wash safe one.

Always in my purse now.
1 of 1 found this helpful One of the things that I always hate to touch in a restaurant is the salt and pepper shakers. I have reached over and grabbed one that was coated with some icky dried food. I wanted to carry my own shakers in my purse. Which is why I bought these. Plus when everything opens up again (COVID-19) I am really going to want to have my own.
I got one of these in the 1980's. The plastic was 100 times nicer! Which is the reason for my quality rating. It annoys the hell out of me that what is already a cheap material (plastic) has been down graded so much! I do LOVE the design.

I would not buy this again. Not worth my time to return a 14 dollar item.
If you want it to whistle forget it. It really was disappointing in that way. I also didn't like the black bead (or whatever they are made of) eyes. It makes it look cheap. Rather than silver plated it LOOKS more like it was rhodium plated to me.
