good value once you find a battery
it seems to work although I cannot calibrate it. It came without battery, the disc lithium type is required. The copious instructions are all chinese plus a picture which is useful. I am not sure if it has to be turned on and off, it seems to turn on when you insert a strip and off when removed, but maybe the battery is still being drained. But it does work with an adjustable pricker and about a 1mm drop of blood, so it is not an expensive aid if you have type one or type two. I would like to compare results with a more expensive unit to see if it accurate.

Bring back the deer stalker!
I bought this is protest about an article on hats in the Oldie. It is destined to be my open car preferred hat with its flaps to tie it down. The front peak shields the sun, the back stops the neck draught. Just the job.

Life changing, science based diet advice
Who knew? The grass family, wheat, oats, maize, cause leaky gut and hence a plethora of diseases. Avoid those, eat quality protein, live longer. Excellent book, I wish I had found it sooner.
