Good product but could be more robust
Perfect replacement for original part which unfortunately snapped. Thule could perhaps make it from sturdier material ( metal maybe) as it has to take the impact of a bike being lifted on to it. I suspect the plastic is getting more brittle after 5 or more years

A must buy if you are bagging tarns in the Lake District
A must buy if you are bagging tarns in the Lake District. There are 40 walks listed which take in about 80 tarns in the Eastern side of the Lake District National Park. The walks are well described and are easy to follow thanks to hand-drawn maps. The walks are about 4 to 11 miles in length and the elevation climbed is listed. About 180 named tarns are listed with their grid reference and alternative names. Being an old book the 6 figure grid references given are not google map friendly and I have yet to find an easy way of locating the tarns using on-line maps. A pull out map showing the location of the tarns would have been helpful. This volume is scarce and so expensive but its companion The Tarns of Lakeland West is much better value but of course covers a different area.
I will find it an invaluable resource in my quest to visit all the named tarns in the Lake District
