Cheaply made

This pin is disappointingly poorly cast. The body of the pin is very thick so quite heavy. This means that it flops forward when pinned through fabric. The spike on the back to hold it in place isn't long enough so it rotates freely but snags the fabric that it's pinned to. The back that slides onto the pin doesn't slide on far enough to hold the badge tightly to the fabric that it's pinned too. I found that a couple of layers of thick fabric behind the badge helped to hold it in place but wasn't enough. Come on Aerosmith - don't be lazy with your merch!

Buzzcocks - Operators Maual

I bought this for an overview of the Buzzcocks as I'd heard a few of their songs and knew I liked them. I still like them, in fact I think they're great, but I struggle to enjoy this CD as it is so long. With 25 tracks it's hard to listen all the way through and easy to get lost and have no idea what you're listening to; it just gets tedious. Stand out tracks are the early singles "Orgasm Addict", "What do I Get?", "Ever Fallen in Love?" and "Love You More." As a document of the Buzzcocks career this is pretty good. The liner notes include a brief but informative biography of the band. Perhaps my only problem with this is the length and I feel I may have been better off buying the albums "Love Bites" and "Another Music in a Different Kitchen." I think the best way to enjoy this compilation is to listen to it on shuffle for half an hour at a time - that way you get to enjoy the genius of the Buzzcocks, without it getting tedious, and it'll certainly leave you wanting more.

strong, shiny, PVA glue

I bought this glue for book binding and collage. If you're looking for a good glue for book binding and collage I wouldn't buy this one. It dries thick and very glossy. The gloss is fine if you have a smudge on glossy paper but you don't want any overspill on matte paper. It is tough when dry so while pliable can create obvious seams in your work - I used it for making a concertina book and the joins between pages were very obvious with this glue. It's probably great as a wood glue though, or for any other paper/fabric/ceramic uses where you want or don't mind a high gloss finish.
