Behringer U-Phoria UMC1820 USB Audio Interface USB 2.0 Audio Interface, 18-in/20

Easy to use, quick setup, great value for money
Purchased the UMC1820, along with an ADA8200 to expand to 16ch input. All works fantastically, very clean input with pretty much no noise. Easy install on Windows 11 and logically named inputs made it easy to setup in my DAW of choice (Audition). Recording 9 drum mics simultaneously in independent channels works flawlessly and sounds great - I was concerned there might be latency between the two units but I haven't had any issues on a ~2 year old 'ok spec' laptop. Overdubs with guitar/bass plugged directly into the UMC1820 sound very clean as well. If purchasing this combination, you'll need to buy an optical cable separately to connect the ADA8200 into the UMC1820 (using the ADAT setting on the ADA8200), but this was easy to find at Jaycar and less than $10 (TOSLink 50cm cable). The two devices cost me less than $750 all up (on sale and including separate purchase of optical cable) and gives you 16ch independent input, I think you'd be hard pressed to find anything else with that many inputs at that price point, and the audio quality is great for home recording.
Torque Solution Lower Engine Mount for Mini Cooper R56 (Inc S/JCW)
    03 Mar, 2021
Adds a whole lot of noise and vibration in the cabin
The Torque Solution lower engine mount looks and feels like a quality product, and installed very easily on my 09 R56 JCW, a 15 minute job including getting the front of the car on jack stands. The bolt on the engine side needs a little wiggling to get it out (and back in) around the exhaust, otherwise this is a very straightforward install that only requires a 16mm socket and an adjustable wrench. While it has definitely given a tighter overall feel than my very worn OEM mount, it induces a ridiculous amount of noise and vibration into the cabin, which might be fine for a track car but pretty much intolerable for a daily driver. If you're looking to reduce comfort, increase noise and add a huge amount of vibration at all rpms, for the sake of a slight improvement in handling then you should absolutely buy this mount. If this doesn't sound like your cup of tea, and you really need to replace the lower engine mount, I'd suggest sticking with an OEM part, which can be found for half the price of the Torque Solution mount.
