Do not buy second hand/used. Won't work on your console

In what could be seen as a major step against the selling of used games by Sony Online Entertainment, it turns out that copies of the PS3 MMORPG DC universe Online are locked to just a single PSN account. SOE has made it so that “Once the PSN key has been consumed with a disk, it cannot be resold / replayed with the second user adding a [subscription]“, a SOE representative told Lazygamer. “Only the original consumer can use that [account]“. There is currently no system in place to offer activiation codes for consumers who bought a second-hand copy.
From the point of view of a gamer I can only hope this doesn’t become more common as not only do I own more than 1 PS3, but I have family with their own PSN accounts.
