Really works. Well designed. Very pleased as I was unsure pre-purchase
1 of 1 found this helpful Wanting to maximise the benefit of my new stove, but as a potentially expensive gamble, I purchased the fan unsure whether it would truly push warm air into my room from my Clearview stove which is set inside the recess of a fireplace. It does. There is not a gale, but you can feel a light warm air stream in a line from the fan and our large room warms more quickly than before.
The marble lintel and mantlepiece are noticeably cooler than before because the air is pushed out into the room rather than just rising up out of the recess to hit the underneath of the mantlepiece.
It is well made, looks fine on the top at the rear left ( not spoiling the look too much), angled so that the air traverses over the long diagonal of the stove top), starts at 50C and works fine up to the highest temperature I generally run at (c250C).
My wife can't hear it running, but I can. It depends on whether you can hear the high pitch of a fast running fan, but I don't find it obtrusive. The stove airflow is louder and both repetitive noises are cut out by my brain after a while.
So I am pleased. I have given 4 stars because this is category is "Better than expected".
The five star category is "amazing", which its price just stops me short of giving. Probably a little harsh by me.
