An X-Pro1 in 2018?
3 of 3 found this helpful There’s something special about all the Fujifilm X systems and that stands true with the X-Pro1. If you don’t suffer from GAS (gear acquisition..) and you enjoy producing images which look organic rather than digital, you’ll love this.
The feel of the body itself is premium, all metal, solidly built (just like the lens’). My X-E2 feels like a toy in comparison.. as it’s smaller but is also special in itself.
16mp is more than adequate, the focus is fast even in low light (which is a contradiction to what others say? play with the settings, never wished for faster), and the OVF is great, just switch on “corrected AF frame” in the menu and learn about parallax..
BUT.. this camera is NOT for everyone. You need to spend time with it, learn it’s quirks and keep all the settings in manual..(aperture, shutter etc) because of that you’ll have to accept that you won’t get perfect images every time but the reward is worth it..
