Just what I wanted
Having bought a car where the service books were lost, it was great to get my hands on a set of books for a Clio which contain very useful everyday information.

Good quality steering damper
1 of 1 found this helpful Needed a replacement amper for an SLK 230 which had list its oil and no longer effective.
This was reasonably priced and was almost an exact replica of the original one on my car.
It appears to have reduced the cars tendancy to wander so is doing the job it's intended for.
Overall it's a good quality product that is a great value replacement for an existing steering damper.

Navman iCN 510 Sat Nav Device
8 of 8 found this helpful As a first time user of sat nav, I wanted a device that I could use straight out of the box and also needed one to work in the USA and the iCN510 seemed to meet my requirements.
Initially, the device took a while to find a satellite, but once it did there were no further problems. It is quick and accurate and keeps up with the car traveling at speed on the motorway.
The windscreen mounting bracket supplied is effective and holds the device in a very stable position. The screen is bright and the mapping very clear.
The menu system is easy to use and intuitive and the device itself is small enough to put in your pocket.
There are no further software upgrades available for this device and I also purchased the USA mapping software from another company that uses a bespoke version of the tom tom navigation system. This combination works very well.
You can buy latest maps of the UK, Europe and the USA either from Navman directly or using an on line e-tailer.
I would definitely recommend this device to anyone who wants a simple, reliable sat nav system and has had no previous experience of using one.
The device I bought was supplied with the following:
1. iCN 510
2. Windscreen mounting bracket
3. USB cable for connection to PC
4. Navman software CD (not Vista compatible)
5. European maps on 3 CD's
6. SD card with UK maps
7. In car charger
8. Protective wallet
9. Operating manuals
It is possible to add the latest speed camera locations to the device by accessing on line services where you can import a data file into the unit by using the supplied software.
I found the software to be a little limiting and it does not work with Vista, so using it may be a problem for some who do not have access to a windows XP machine. The software does not run in compatibility mode in Vista very well.
Overall, this is an easy to use, works straight out of the box unit and I have no problems recommending it. I would however, allow for the fact that you will need to buy the latest version of the UK maps from Navman, particularly if you travel extensively throughout the UK.
Overall, I would give the device 8/10 for ease of use, value for money and the fact that software upgrades are available from on-line e-tailers to keep the unit future proof.
