Good value for money
I bought some of these as alternatives to the much more expensive RFID modules available from the UK. Functionally they were plug-in replacements and worked satisfactorily. The sensing coil is separate from the electronics, which may be an advantage for installation, but it has no mounting arrangements and is flimsy, particularly the thin wires to the connector. We are looking at ways of mounting these coils for our application. (Model Railways). When used with the small glass tags, you only get sensing with the tags around 1cm from the coil wires and nothing in the coil centre. Some alternative coil designs would be very useful given that they plug in to the module. There are no detailed specifications and instructions are only available from the website. However, they are very good value, especially with free postage.

Cheap and cheerful
From the description, it is not clear whether this adapter runs as an access point. I doesn't. Its appearance is the same as ones that do. There is no marking or identification on the housing so no way of knowing what it is or does. However, I have ones that do run as AP but look identical, also with no markings, so beware. It seems they are generic housings. If you want a very cheap dongle to connect your PC, TV etc. to your home router it is fine. If you want a stand alone access point or server it is unsuitable. Mine took over one month to arrive though - from China. Can't complain for the price.
