Fine for small jobs.

I bought this to solder 12V wires whilst installing under unit LED lighting and it worked fine for that job being extremely portable. Give it a decent amount of time (20 seconds) to heat up and it's fine. But I think it would struggle with larger gauge wires. Good that it uses standard 3 x AA batteries. Build quality is okay for a cheap tool. Would be fine for arduino type electronics and soldering small components in a pinch, but best to get one of the cheap Chinese solder stations for that.

Effectively silent, if I put my ear to it I can hear the liquids circulating around, but that's all. I was going to put it in my office, but it's quiet enough that it's currently in the corner of the bedroom. Drinks are nice and cold and there is ice on the back wall of it. Seems to consume about 35W once it's settled down. Will accept a 2L soda bottle in the door if you remove the top door shelf, but easily accommodates a standard wine bottle and large cans. Good DPD delivery.
