Philips Hue Tap Switch

Love the switch

I’ve had the phillips Hue lights for several years, always controlling them via timers and the phone. I finally splurged for the switch. Wow - makes it so easy to change the lights. It can be set up to activate/deactivate multiple scenes. So far, it’s working great.

Wow, I love this ipad

I have owned many iPads, but always hesitated to get the large iPad Pro because I didn’t know whether it would be too large for convenient carrying. Now that I’ve had this device for a week, I can’t believe I waited this long. I do a lot of work on my iPads-including writing, remote access of servers, and mind mapping. This larger screen really makes work easier and more pleasant, making this a better replacement for my laptop. It has much better battery life than the laptop, and more processing power. It’s not yet quite a complete laptop replacement, but this one is coming very close. For casual use like movie watching, the large screen is nice, though the iPad is a bit heavier to hold up. If that was my only use for it, I might stick with the smaller one. But for all around-work plus casual-This is a great way to go.

ecobee3 Smarter Wi-Fi Thermostat with Remote Sensor, 2nd Generation

Loving it so far

We have a propane stove to heat our cabin, that uses a low-voltage (millivolt) thermostat. With the old thermostat, there were wild swings in temperature in our place. However, I didn't know whether I'd be able to get the ecobee3 working right with a non-24VAC system like mine. It arrived, and with some Googling I found various solutions... the simplest was using the cooling circuit to power the ecobee3 with a sprinkler control power supply (24VAC), and using the separate heater circuit for the millivolt system. It works flawlessly! I love the user interface, simple and easy to use. The apps are great, and the remote thermostat seems to work great as well. It keeps the place at a much more even temperature! I am pleased with this device and am planning to buy another for a different zone.
