This is a great replacement drive which I used in my DVR at a great price!
I bought this 500GB drive as a replacement for an 80GB hard drive for an old DVR. I did need to buy a PATA to SATA adapter to make it fit my DVR, but it was easy to install and has worked great since I bought it a couple of months ago. It is a low power consumption drive which was needed for the DVR. I can now record over 200 hours of high quality or 1000 hours of fair quality shows, which is 5 times more than before. It was definitely worth the price.

Gives me TV on an old monitor
I had an old computer monitor and an old Digital to Analog TV Converter Box (you know, the one that the US government spent over $1 billion, giving everyone vouchers for a free converter box). Anyway, I hooked them together with this device to turn the old monitor into a digital TV . It's not HD, but it works pretty good. Keep in mind that you have to route the sound output separately since the VGA connection is for video only. Note: If you are thinking of buying one for this purpose, don't confuse this box with the VGA-to-RCA converter box which looks just like this one, but converts the signal in the opposite direction.
