Protects my new worktop

I have this worktop saver on top of my new kitchen worktop next to my cooker its perfect as I can put at least 2 hot saucepans straight onto it without damaging either. I also have smaller sizes which I use for preparing food etc. I prefer the textured look but it can make a grating sound if you drag the pans or when cutting etc which some people might dislike.
