Amd Top performer

I have always used amd cpu's,and there is only 1 athlon xp that can better it's performance ( amd Athlon xp 3200 ).I have this processor running with 3 1 gig crucial 400mhz on xp pro platform.Booting up, multi-tasking is very fast.Forget about people who say it runs too hot-this is the top processor for running xp.Never been overclocked-you don't need too. Recommended- Mick

Toshiba Satellite® Pro A100 (PSAACE-007002EN)

I have always liked the tosh sat pro, this one comes with the core duo as opposed to the core2duo processor. Really there is not much difference, with a 1.6 ghz speed. Ideal for xp, if you were to put vista on i would upgrade the memory to at least 2 gig ( which i did anyway ) and it handles everything with a breeze-even adobe cs3. Mine came with no hard drive and a battery that needed replaced but i just switched from sat pro a100.For people having trouble with drivers xp/vista, after you format all the latest drivers can be found on the toshiba website, remember the drivers will be different for the 2 operating systems.Nice touches are the built in bluetooth,card reader and 4 usb ports-it can also be upgraded to take 4 gig of ram. Would recommend this laptop.
