Marklin quality
You can't go wrong with Marklin - While it may not be the highest quality model railway product on the market, it is certainly predictably reliable - I have gear that is over 40 years old still running seamlessly on my layout.

Ambulance - mini scale but decent features
Tony (Tomica) have been around many years, and don't appear to have dropped their quality levels any from the 70's - mind you, they haven't lifted them either. The wheels roll smoothly, the paint is durable and the decals don't rub off. As a static model, it's ideal - as a kids play toy, it does what they do. It doesn't transform into anything or shoot rockets - it just looks good.
