What you see is what you get
It appears to be an exact Nikon replacement part. Works well.

I'm very pleased with features and performance.
Great GPS with excellent software. Everything you could possibly want for features. The Colorado 400i comes with a preloaded map of inland lakes and rivers. Major lakes and major rivers have depth info and navigational aids such as locations of lighthouses, boat ramps and channel buoys. This would include the Great Lakes, the Mississippi River, Sebago Lake in Maine and Winnepesauki in NH. Smaller lakes such as Pawtuckaway in NH, and smaller rivers such as Nashua River and Shawsheen River in MA have much less detailed information equivalent to Garmins 100K topo map. I got this GPS to accompany me on kayak trips and it turns out that most of the smaller lakes and rivers that I paddle on don't have very detailed info on the preloaded map. I use Garmin's Northeast 24K high resolution map on a micro SD card for those trips to the smaller lakes and rivers because it shows the contours of those lakes and rivers in more detail, and while the topo map doesn't provide water depth and navigational markers, it does provide a very detailed representation of the surrounding areas. Good if you are looking for an area to pull your kayak out of the water to take a break. Garmin GPS's can and do occasionally crash as is the case with most computer based products. I bought this GPS as a backup. I recommend you use a backup if you are paddling several miles off the coast or if you are mountain biking in unfamiliar territory. It's easy to get lost...that's why we buy these devices in the first place. Most times the device crashes it can be easily restored by hooking it up to a computer but on 2 occasions I did have to send back a defective GPS. Garmin's customer service is very good though and twice they bent their own rules. On one occasion they repaired the unit at a discounted price...on the other occasion they covered the repair under warranty even though it technically wasn't under warranty any more. All things considered I'm pleased with both of my Garmin Colorado's and I recommend them to anyone into mountain biking, hiking or kayaking/boating.
