Yaesu FT-65R. 5W 144/440 Dual-Band, Rugged, Compact Handheld Radio--EXTRA MINT!

Great radio for the price
For what it is and the price you can’t beat this radio. Yaesu radios are solid and dependable, and this doesn’t disappoint. This is a Chinese made version, so it has a lot of compatible parts with the Bao Fengs, mainly battery and antennas. Thing is this radio is solid and more rugged than the BF’s. I’m not a Ham radio guy, well yet at least, but I buy and use these to scan RR frequencies. If you set a Home channel on the broadcast end, and have your friends use that frequency, you can use this as a Walkie talkie . The radio is fairly simple to program, and scan channels, and if you get a Ham license, this radio comes highly recommended as a first time radio. I love it!
Panasonic 4K Lumix DMC‑LX100 [+ Extras] - 12.8MP Digital Camera - Black

Small camera, Pro results!
First off, like all compacts, there are trade offs made, but this is like a mini camera system! Pros: *Complete manual ability. Not for novice unless they want to learn photography (exposure) *4K video, and 4K photo mode *A viewfinder, EVF, for when sun is harsh *A huge sensor for such a small camera *Fast sharpLeica lens for creamy Bokeh *small enough to be discreet and travel well yet solid and well built *Multiple aspect ratios can be selected before shooting *16 mp micro 4/3rds sensor! Depending on ratio 12.8 mp used * Different creative modes * IA, Intelligent Auto button for when there is no time for setting camera *Outstanding WiFi connectivity CONS *No touch or tilt screen *Manual controls could frustrate novice users *Jpeg Quality not as good for some people *To bulky for some, small but not a pocket camera *All those dials are easy to change by accident *EVF is annoying to some people! * To some, this is to expensive. You could get a DSLR and lenses for the same money A few extra thoughts here. For a user with photography skill that wants a small package that yields professional results, this is a great camera. The Leica lens offers superb optics that take advantage of the large sensors resolution. I like the EVF, but to some it is annoying! The one thing I wish this camera had is a tilt screen, touch screen I can live without, but as much as this camera is setup as a creative tool, I just don’t see why that’s missing! That said, overall this is a great camera. A great travel camera that will yield fantastic results!

Panasonic Lumix 12-60mm f/3.5-5.6 G-Vario Aspherical Power OIS Black Autofocus

Good first impression, perfect for GX85
I originally was a Nikon guy with film and then DSLRs. Then I went to mirrorless and the Sony a6000! With that camera I I use the 18-105G. I like a good zoom, but feel the super zoom compromises to much. So the 14-140 was intriguing, but a felt that was a little much! The more I read about this, the more I liked the 12-60 range (24-120 35mm equivalent). So far I like this lens on my GX85. If you use the digital zoom feature on this camera you can extend its range, but at the compromise of some sharpness! I find the 2x zoom acceptable, but 4x is to much. The build of this Lens is more solid than the 14-42 that my camera came with, and I love the metal lens mount where the lens attaches, and if you pick the camera up by the lens, there should be no worries about breaking the lens mount. Image quality is actually very good, and the lens auto focuses smoothly. I will have to agree with other reviewers that the zoom ring could be smoother, and would probably be an issue with zooming during a video! I think that this lens and the GX85 make for a good balanced shooting platform! i also liked not having to spend a fortune for this. There is a more expensive Leica cousin that is heavier, a little faster, and supposedly sharper. From what I read from reviewers though, not by much. I definitely recommend this lens. I attached some train shots with this! Many of these trains were moving up to 55 mph, so I was shooting action, just on big scale!
