The only tool for the job but disproportionately pricey
I bought this to replace an identical model which did not have the silicon lead. Fighting a curled-up lead when trying to solder something delicate finally got on my nerves. The flexible, heat-resistant silicon lead is the selling point and makes the job a whole lot easier. It is also disproportionately pricey.
Why manufacturer anything else?

It's OK at that price
The steel is slightly thinner and less rigid than the original but it is serviceable and is a working replacement. It is a cheaper replacement.
