The Toshiba Mini Notebook gets AAA+++
I already own a Toshiba NB205, and love it! So, when it came time to buy a computer for my 88-year-old mom, I decided to bid for another Toshiba NB205 on Ebay. Both my mom and I are extremely happy with the recent purchase. The keyboard is full size and easy to navigate. The notebook's small size makes it very portable, especially important since Mom uses it wirelessly and must carry it to the charging station. The battery is especially long-lived: approximately 9 hours!! Mom likes to use this as a "laptop," so my husband made her a lap stand which allows for air circulation and a place for the mouse. Mom prefers to use the touch pad, so I adjusted the settings to make it less sensitive. By doing so, the cursor doesn't jump around when you're typing. (On my Toshiba, you can adjust the mouse/touchpad settings by clicking on Control Panel/Appearance/Ease of Access Center/Make the Mouse Easier to Use/Mouse Settings/Advanced). The sound - for a small notebook - is very adequate, and Mom (who wears two hearing aids) has no problem chatting on Skype. She also uses the notebook to initiate long distance calls to all her friends using Google Voice. The screen resolution is very good, and I changed the font size so that it's easier for Mom to view. All in all, we're extremely pleased with the Toshiba mini notebook (NB 205). You certainly won't go wrong in purchasing one.

Ooma Telo has worked great for the past five years!
4 of 4 found this helpful Our Ooma Telo has worked flawlessly for the past 5+ years!! Calls are crystal clear, and I don't recall any being dropped. Wish I could say the same for my cell phone!
Even if the electricity is out (and, therefore, no Ooma), calls are rerouted to a cell phone. We never worry about missing a call to our "house phone."
We use Google Voice integrated with Ooma, and once I got it set up correctly, it has worked very well. I found the online discussions and trouble-shooting guide to be invaluable in working out the minor issues with Google Voice.
We have saved thousands of dollars by using Ooma for the past 5+ years! I recently told a newcomer to our neighborhood about the Ooma advantages, and she canceled her Magic Jack contract and ordered a Telo.
