What a lovely book. I bought it as a present but liked it so much I had to buy a second copy

A delight to read
1 of 1 found this helpful This book is, as it says, a memoir. It has a slowly unraveling autobiographic thread, which makes it all the more poignant, but even without the knowledge that it is a real story it stands alone as a wonderful, sensual exploration of the world- my world, as I grew up during the same period and recognise every element from my own childhood experience. I hope he writes more as this book is excellent.
