The Name of the Rose

Dark, twists and turns, satisfying.

This is a classic Sean Connery flick. There's a serial killer doing deadly deeds in a 14th century abbey on a mountain top in Northern Italy. Connery's a friar brought in to solve the crimes and he's a brilliant Sherlock Holmes precursor. Seventeen year-old Christian Slater is his novice. Dark, clever, satisfying. Great cast and performances.
