FUJIFILM FinePix F480 Digital Camera
1 of 1 found this helpful I bought this camera for a friend who needed a very small digital camera (for portability) but with reasonable resolution. She is also something of a technophobe and was convinced that she would struggle to learn how to use a digital camera.
I chose this camera as it really is compact, yet the controls are laid out so that you dont feel it is too tiny when you are using it. When you select the various functions the display briefly tells you what the fuction is used for. A kind of idiots guide....
Within a day she was taking photos, deleting the obvious muck ups and generally familiarising herself with the controls by checking back with the manual provided.
By the end of the week she had over 120 excellent photos and was confident she could use most of the functions without needing the guide. DOwnloading to the computer is really easy and all cables are provided.
It may not be the latest technology, have the highest resolution or the most complex functions, but it is an really good beginners camera with all the basics covered, portraits, scenic, zoom, macro and even video clips.
