Great action, solid acting, and super special effects.
This was a great action flick with superb special effects. I don't know why some find this movie just "so-so". It was plausible in plot, entertaining, and very well acted. Anybody who is an action buff will like this one.

Most riveting action series I have ever watched~!
Most riveting action series I have ever watched~! I was in combat arms for over 20 years, and----while this is still not totally accurate & draws upon fantasy----"The Last Ship" gives a solid accounting of world despots, defense problems, spec ops, planning, and international subterfuge. The look at military politics is also very close to real. However, the quality control on the discs was a bit lacking. Three of the discs had serious coding drop-outs on the last episode on each. Missed the last 20 or so minutes I recommend this series to anyone who likes a combo of combat action and sci-fi epidemiology.
