TEFAL Toast N Egg Toaster Egg Holder Tray Dish Pan Genuine TT5500 SS-187173
    02 Sep, 2020
Just what I needed to avoid scrubbing egg off scratched old pan!
I’ve had a Toast n Egg for years but the pan was getting a bit scratched and thus the egg was sticking. This replacement is identical to the one that came with the appliance and is perfect in every way. Fully recommended to avoid too much washing up!
Hearth And Home Black Ash Pan Ashpan To Fit A 18" Fire Grate
    10 Jan, 2021
Flimsy and small but ok at the price
I knew the dimensions of this when I bought it but for an 18inch grate it leaves far too much space around the four edges for the ash to miss the pan. The item it replaced (in an 18inch grate) was 16inches wide (also for the same size grate and fitted perfectly) so I don’t understand how this can be described as being a suitable replacement. But for the price it’ll do until I find a decent one.
The Gentlemen's Clubs of London by Anthony Lejeune (Hardback, 2012)
    09 Sep, 2017
    Wonderful book but strangely incomprehensive
This book is the updated version of one originally written in the 1970s, and has updated much of the photography, and a few of the words. However, some of the clubs from the 1979 version have disappeared in this book (what did the RAC do to get 'blackballed' in this edition?) and it remains unclear about the division between the grand clubs (mainly covered), the more "apply here" clubs (only the City clubs mentioned) and the younger but equally exclusive ones (e.g. Blacks, Groucho, 2 Brydges - not mentioned at all). Overall I am confused as to the reason second hand versions cost in excess of £200 in some cases, but I'm v happy to have it on my bookshelf.
