I found it quite confusing to install as...

I found it quite confusing to install as I was not aware that, you realy need the Hik-Vision POE monitor to use it (which isnt sold seperatly apparently) Had I not allready had an NVR It would have been unusable (it is not a stand alone) unit like most other door bells nore does it have an internal battery (to my surprise)
