One Of The Best Thermal Pastes You Could Buy!
1 of 1 found this helpful My laptop was running hotter than usual on normal and non-heavy CPU tasks, so I figured it was time for a thermal paste replacement. I was hesitant at first about changing the thermal paste on my laptop's CPU because I was afraid of something going wrong and me messing up. I did my research on top thermal paste brands, watched how-to videos and read reviews about Noctua NT-H1. Many were recommending it so I had to give it a try.
Boy, did this make an improvement on my CPU's temperatures! For one, the old thermal paste that was on my laptop was cracked and VERY messy. I cleaned it up well with 99% isopropyl alcohol before applying this thermal paste. It was easy to apply. There is enough in the tube for two or more applications because I used it on both of my laptops and still had more left over.
There isn't much else to say except that my two laptops run much cooler now, and I can now surf the web and watch videos without my laptops' fans spurting out a lot of hot air. I would highly recommend Noctua NT-H1 thermal paste. This brand has been out for over 6 years and never seems to disappoint!

Sometimes It Works, Sometimes It Doesn't
I'll start by saying that the item is well built and seems to be of good quality. The USB cord and adapter that comes with the hub came in good shape as well.
Now, as for the bad, there are times when the hub will work and there are time when it doesn't work correctly. I have my mouse, WiFi adapter, and a Bluetooth headset via USB attached to this hub. The ONLY thing that will work correctly on this hub is the WiFi adapter. Why? I have no clue.
If I put my laptop (Windows 7 64 bit) to sleep and wake it up after some time, my mouse and headset will no longer work. The WiFi will though. When I shut down my laptop and start it back up, there are times when the devices still don't work. I've checked my laptop and device manager settings. I've downloaded new USB 3.0 host drivers. I've disabled and re-enabled drivers. I've uninstalled and reinstalled drivers. I've updated drivers and firmware. Still, the problem persists. I would take out my mouse when the hub is having problems and plug it into my laptop's other 3.0 and 2.0 ports to make sure it's not the mouse. The mouse would work just fine plugged directly into my laptop.
I've seen others state that they're having the same issue with this USB hub not recognizing their devices.
When it does work, it does a good job. It's become an annoyance where I have to get it to recognize my devices.
My best bet would be to find another brand for a USB 3.0 hub because this one will leave you pulling out your hair, haha.

A Beast Of A Device!
It was very easy to install the updated driver for this product from Netgear's website. The main thing I like about this WiFi adapter is that it automatically connects back to the internet when I wake my laptop from the sleep state or when I start my laptop up. The adapter doesn't get hot and it doesn't use up my CPU at all. The 5 GHz band is solid and delivers my full 150 Mbps and it also goes over that! I haven't had not one dropped connection. This device is a beast! I absolutely love it.
