Cracking the Code is an excellent book as far as it goes...
3 of 3 found this helpful Cracking the Code is not only informative but eye opening. Unfortunately, it relies heavily on Supreme Court cases that are quite old. Even though these cases have never specifically been overturned the policy changed in 1938 with a new Supreme Court decision called Erie Railroad versus Tompkins. The policy change to contract law under the Uniform Commercial Code is not addressed in CtC.
Fortunately, the UCC must be read in harmony with the prior law (but this doesn't mean the outcome of those prior cases would be the same). To the degree those cases are cited by more recent Appellate Court decisions, they remain controlling.
This Omission is about the only complaint anyone could point to about this book. I heartily recommend that you read it.
