Just when you think Macro and Cato have exhausted all the possibilities Simon comes up with another great story of Roman intrigue at its best.
Another great page turner from a master of the Roman era.

Another great book from Simon Scarrow
I can't believe that Simon keeps coming up with compelling storylines, I read the book in 2 days.

A brilliant book in the Macro and Cato Series
A great series of stories about the adventures of Macro and Cato, Once I started reading the 1st Novel I could not wait unto the next one, I have now read 7, Simon is a great story writer that brings the characters alive, while keeping to the actual history timeline. I would recommend this author to anyone who loves reading about the Roman way of life in the legions.
