LG UBKM9 Streaming 4k Ultra Hd Audio Blu-ray With Dolby Vision, Black

Has the Basics for a 4K player but no extras and falls short on ergonmic choices.

This player play sBlurays ok, but other features let the unit down. Streaming support only has Netflix and Youtube, you can't add any other streaming services. No installable apps, you may need a streaming box as well as this box if your TV can't stream apps well enough). I don't like lights on the front on my platers (especially when off), the player has green LED that is on when powered on and a red LED when powered off, no menu option to shut them off (I am putting electrical tap on the front to block them). If you just want to play disks on an LG TV this is OK, if you want a streaming interface and disk player stay away.

A touch less bright than I remember original bulb, but works fine

Low cost bulb assembly, plugged in quick and works fine. The question is how long it lasts, but 1/3 the price of the original bulb.

Best TV Video I have ever seen!

I do large format printing, I bought this to preview posters, because of the black quality and contrast, But it is so much more that. This is the best TV/Monitor I have ever seen. The curve is useful when used a monitor close up, but the flat version would be better for a family room. The User Interface is quirky but the video is amazing. The 3d (including 2d to 3d) . If 3d was this good everybody would want it (better than read 3d in movies, even though it is the same technique). 4k is sharp, up conversion works well. As a PC monitor it works perfectly Web videos look great. A usb Keyboard with touchpad makes the web interface much easier to use. Sound is good as well. If I could afford the 77g6p I would buy one as well. Sad they are removing 3d and component video for the 2017 models. If they could sell these for the same price as led/lcd tv's they would own the market.
