Bosch AHS 54-20 LI Cordless Hedge Cutter 36V (Body Only)

Better than petrol power

Not quite as fast as a petrol trimmer, but it's so much lighter (so no dead arms after 5 hours of use), and the finished cut is very neat. Deals with all the hedges I have including branches about 1" thick! I have 3 batteries which I share amongst all my 36v Bosch tools, so I never run out, but a 4Ah battery lasts about 60-90 minutes anyway (depending on how constantly you're cutting) so plenty of time to recharge if you've only got 2 batteries.

Brilliant Lawnmower

Easy to use. Handles a large lawn after 3-4 weeks growth on a single charge of a 4Ah battery. Even the first cut after winter only took a 4ah and a 1.3ah battery. Also surprisingly light, and super quiet! Doesn't like long grass on a short cut setting, so you have to cut long, then cut short, but as a normal fortnightly/monthly mower, it's ace.

OK, but too short, and uses batteries very quickly

Nozzle is way too short to blow leaves on grass (you have to crouch to get the nozzle low enough so the air goes under the leaves, not on top) and boy does it get through batteries. It's much more power hungry than the Bosch 43cm lawnmower we have which uses the same battery which is surprising. Quite powerful though, and does a very good job on hard surfaces or (flower) beds.
