It really is the basics, but very useful guidance for anyone just starting out.
As someone who has tried to design a few leaflets, this was a great book to understand why my efforts never seemed very good. It gives very practical guidance for anyone who is new to document design. In some ways it seems obvious, but I would have benefited greatly if I had seen this before designing illustrated pamphlets.
