Informative & detailed analysis of a driven man
I wanted to understand Oppenheimer the man & this book gives a very detailed description , I think the early Jewish history is overlong though. It is ( as a non physicist ) demanding to follow the technicalities of nuclear composition , but you can get the general drift. It is also an interesting timeline of what all the other scientists were doing at the time. I am only a quarter of the way through the book but I am very impressed so far.

Some say 'Top Gear grates on the nerves' I say 'it's still great' anyway
That Martin Roach is a big fan of all things Top Gear comes across from the outset, & his book is written with the same humorous & politically incorrect approach the show is watched for.
Nobody can agree with all Clarksons views (even him ) but all Top Gear aficionados love the presenting style, jokes & pointless challenges, & this book delves into the show with care.
I thoroughly recommend it as a good read
