Very good CD and booklet. Stately. As expected.
This CD is well recorded. The music is well sung and played; the readings well read.
It would be very suitable for someone with an interest in: royalty/state occasions/commemoration services.
The CD comes with a booklet inside the cover that has good pictures over the period of the Queen's reign. The book is as large, and has as many pages, as can be fitted inside the case.
I bought the CD as a gift for a friend. I have listened to it and am sure that it will be appreciated.
I would give it top marks for what it is. (If you are a real church music buff, you could say that it has minor faults but that is only because it is live; as a live recording it is as good as you can have.)

The smoothest and impecably crafted.
Peter skellern is a master of this style. His voice is so expressive yet soft - it is as if he is merely talking closely and quietly to the one person.
The engineering is impeccable, all the more so given the age of the recording.
The orchestration is subtle but not without wit.
The selection of pieces shows a range of styles and emotions: longing, contentment, and occasionally loss. All the pieces `though have that understated depth and clarity that only a voice of unforced calm naturalness can express.
The title's reference to sentiment is, given modern sensibilities, unfortunate though this is sentiment in the true sense.
You must buy this recording. It's smooth but in no way sickly; it will reflect your most heartfelt personal emotions.
The best!
