Printer vs. Modem vs. Null Modem cable

I needed a modem cable for my recently acquired Mac SE/30 and DB-9 female WiFi modem, but many people are not sophisticated enough to realize the differences of a modem cable from a printer cable. So I purchased a Din-8 to DB-25 Imagewriter I cable and put two adapters on it: one to convert it to DB-9 female; and the other, a "null-modem" adapter, which converts a printer cable to a modem cable.
