It is a fairly accurate model of a very popular car. Vanguards are cheap but accurate products. They are also very well researched and represent a decent and historically correct reproduction of the real cars.
It is a pity that this particular model has not been developed to a more contemporary quality standard with more accurate interior and with plastic rear and front lights. Also the range could very easily be developed to include the 2000SC and 2000TC variations as well as the 2200 ones. Sales would increase tremendously!

Mercedes TAXI
A very accurately detailed model at a very good price. Once you have the TAXI bar removed you have a good model of a W124 series 1 "civilian car" which has only been done by IXO in a nasty green colour.

Marina TC
1 of 1 found this helpful It is an excellent representation of a very bad car. As always corgi have gone the extra mile to give an accurate and historically correct (down to the number plate) model.
The detail is very good and accurate and the colour is from the M plate era. (Minor facelift before Marina 2 come out)
Corgi is loosing one star due to the luck of plastic lights at the rear and super detailing of the interior, which is, to be fair, reflected in the price of the model.
