You really can't find a better PomPom maker than this one
I love this thing. It cranks out some pretty nice pompoms once you know the ropes. I will say, the instructions blow. If you can chat back and forth with someone who has used these and knows the tricks, you'll jam. The one thing I figured out quickly, is that depending on your yarn thickness... you'll want to wrap several layers of yarn around it to make full sassy poms. The instructions don't tell you that. Also, when you are finishing up your pom and tying it off, double your yarn and pull it super ultra tight. You need to do that for the pom to fluff out and stay together. Much like the rug in the Big Lebowski, that tie off pulls the whole pom together and it's crucial. Trust me on this, if you don't double your yarn, it will snap. Once you tie off, you can snip the extra threads close to the pom threads and they will blend in. Everything else about the maker is great, sturdy, and I'm sure will hold up for years to come.
These are pompoms I made using that very thick Bernat Blanket yarn.
