Pivo-Trim Quick Load Universal Strimmer Head (FITS 99% OF ALL PETROL STRIMMERS)

Ryobi 3046YE
Tested this product today, for around 1/2 hour, on some tall grass that surrounds my property. Usually with the original bump feed system I would have had to of bumped a few times to complete this task. With this pivot system, there seems to be very little degradation in the line length, and I must say it handled this short strimming session honourably. Fitting it to the Ryobi 3046YE was not as straight forward as it could have been. None of the 4 bolts supplied with the kit fit the Ryobi threads and you therefore have to use your existing bolt from the bump feed knob. The problem with this is that the head of the Ryobi bolt is smaller than the receptacle given in the kit to hold it, and you have to wedge, or glue it into place to get it tightened. (I used some strimmer line to wedge it in.) I cannot comment on the reliability or longevity of this product at present, however, apart from the little hiccup with getting it installed, it seems to perform the roll it was designed for quite admirably. Note: I found that the Ryobi 3046YE (a 30cc strimmer) performed better using only two of the four eyelets as four proved a little tough for this strimmer to rotate a full speed. This allowed me to install a slightly longer line (I used my own Oregon Starline as opposed to the sample line that came in the kit). This was not detrimental to the performance of the product.
Hemline Extra Long Retractable Tape Measure. 300cm / 120" - Fibreglass

Longer than your average bear
I know it’s ‘just’ a tape measure, but it does have features that make it stand out above its counterparts. Firstly, it’s able to measure up to 300 cm (120 inches) in one fell swoop and secondly, and more importantly for me, it is retractable – I no longer have to roll up my 150cm jobbie to put it in the sewing box– It’s the little things :) The quality of the tape measure itself is good, measuring approximately 14 mm (9/16 inches) in width, with very legible black markings on a white background, with the centimetre scale in increments of 1 mm, and the inches scale in increments of 1/8 inch. The retract mechanism gives a nice audible click as the tape measure is being pulled out, and is smooth and relatively quite when pulling the tape in. The only small criticism I have, and it really is nitpicking, considering the price and the great quality service I received from KnitUk, is the housing plastic. It is that sort of plastic that would crack/break easily if sat on or dropped onto a hard surface from a height. But I suppose the man would say – “Well don’t drop it from a height or sit on it then :)”.
