One of Keith Jarrett's finest recordings.
CD in excellent condition. Lovely Jarrett compositions. Beautiful ensemble playing, with Dewey Redman deservedly prominent. ECM recording and sound, as always, impeccable.

This cycle by Kuijken and his wonderful singers and musicians is revelatory: many recordings of the cantatas employ orchestras and choruses far bigger than Bach wrote for. Kuijken's own historical research has led him to smaller forces (essentially one or two voices per part) and the resulting clarity and grace is sublime, revealing the cantatas to be as beautiful and innovative as any of Bach's most famous works. The recordings, by Accent, are perfect.
