Excellent for sorting photographic slides, and for 8mm/16mm film use.
1 of 1 found this helpful I use this lightbox for sorting photographic film clips. (Real, processed film.) It is not at all 'boxy' - it is approx 6mm thick including the pad feet on the back. Will lay flat for use on a surface (also comes with a plastic easel with a swivel base) and is easy to store. Comes with a black cloth storage bag with handles. Light in weight. Appears to be made from two layers of perspex with small LEDs inside the edges which give a good even light.
The top surface is off white/slightly cream in colour.
Not so clear in the instructions but works well:
* Press and hold power touch button to increase/decrease the light level.
Comes with a 5v UK compatible mains adapter plug.
Does not get hot. I have used this device for working with developed reversal (slide/projectable) film and negatives with no problems regards film base or emulsion.
Makes a useful mini projection screen.
I have used it with white board pens with no problem but do not know if it affects surface long term. Seems fine to me.
I protect the surface when editing etc with another piece of perspex and thin white paper depending on the work.
The surface is perspex-like and it would probably be marked by blades, solvent or glue etc.
This product was better than I expected because it is so versatile - some of the uses are not what it was designed for - but it works brilliantly. Arrived quickly too.

Simple practical device that works well.
I use this on my S4 with a handgrip attached for creative shooting. Very effective at steadying the phone cam, and the phone, handle and this holder can be carried in pockets. Excellent value at a couple of quid. More versatile and stronger than it looks.
