Fantastic quality, does what it says on the tin
To give you an idea of Startech's build quality, this cheap adapter inspires substantially more confidence than my £150 EVGA G3 power supply, or the older then-£200 be Quiet Dark Power Pro P10 it replaced.
All the wires are 16AWG (1.291mm core diameter) rather than the usual 18AWG (1.024mm core diameter) on high-end PSUs or 20AWG (0.912mm core diameter) on cheapo models. This means they're lower resistance, can carry higher current. They're also stiffer, which limits how far they can be bent (see photo).
The connectors themselves feel extremely secure - normally you should avoid removing PSU connectors by pulling on the wires but in this case it doesn't feel like that's a problem at all.
The fit of the 24-pin end is excellent on the EVGA G3 I have, and the 20-pin end has fitted fantastically on every motherboard I have going in securely but without excessive insertion or removal force. My old Be Quiet Dark Power Pro P10 does rather struggle to mate with the 24-pin end, although since that supply uses a split 20+4-pin connector it doesn't need such an adapter anyway.

Pretty rubbish really
The plastic flexes a lot and the scale is off. They're arguably better than using a ruler and eyeballing it... but not by much. This is not just a less durable alternative to metal, it's significantly worse. I'm probably going to end up having to buy a better set.
