Good mechanisms. Poor standard of lower (silver) blade
I bought these shears to replace some I`d used for several years - to tidy up lawn/bed edges. On the very first use, the shears did not work. The spring mechanism and safety catch are fine - the fault is in the blades. The silver blade, (the one you`d think would be more robust) bent, so that the black blade engaged with it rather than with the grass that I was trying to cut. I dare not try to bend it myself for fear of doing more damage.
I want a simple, robust tool, not one which bends at the first sight of a lawn edge.
