Great multi-purpose router!
I have owned a Silverline router for a couple of years, but it has been playing up recently. I treated myself and purchased this to work in my router table, whilst I used the old one for handheld (until I can afford a laminate trimmer). The router is great in a table. It has an above table winder for height adjustment, collet lock (and single spanner bit change) when you fully raise the router, fast plunge travel if you reach under the table and use the right hand handle and a locking on/off switch (no need for cable ties or gaffa tape!). It has been very well designed to work in a table. Even the base has ¼"-20 and (undocumented) M6 boltholes (hidden under the baseplate) for tabel mounting, so whichever system you use, you can get it up and running.
It also excels for handheld use. The dust collection is good (for a router and despite the slightly odd port size). It has a good, spring loaded depth stop mechanism with a turret so you can set 3 differing heights. It comes with a novel fence/circle cutting thingy which I haven't used yet, although it seems very well built and quick and easy to use.
My only gripes (and they are small ones) is that the table winder mechanism was a little gritty (to the point that it would stop lifting the router). I took out the mechanism and blew it off and added a tiny dab of grease. Now it's like butter as it rises and falls. Another small gripe is that's it a bit of an operation getting the router down into the table (with a standard size router plate). It's a case tilting it, getting one handle through the hole first and then the other. Not a biggie. Those handles stick out so much, you can't just drop it in, even across the diagonal.
Other issues are that the speed only goes up to 21,000 rpms - my old Silverline went to a scary 30,000. I haven't found it a problem yet though, as it's got lots of power behind those rpms. Final gripe is that the speed control numbers are not lined up on the dial. Mine goes from 5 (slowest) to 4 (fastest). At some point I'll fix it as the dial just needs realigning on the shaft, but as it doesn't cause any issues, it'll probably be a long while before I do this!
These gripes are small though and I am incredibly happy with my purchase. I was planning to use my old Silverline router for handheld use but every time I have some handheld work, I detach the Triton from the table and use that (which is a faff, so it shows how much better this is!).
This router is awesome, and at the cost it's FAR CHEAPER than many router lifts (which have far less 'lift' features and of course have NO ROUTER included!). This is a well integrated router 'system' for a table. If you are thinking of buying a router lift, do yourself a favour and get one of these (or the bigger TRA001). Handheld work? Yeah, it'll happily do that too, and just as compentently as any other router. I'm really happy with mine and it's certainly a major step up from my old Silverline router!

Nice air hose
Bought this after seeing the Essential Craftsman's video about PU hoses on the 'Tube. You can yank this round corners and it doesn't catch. The black things on the ends are totally useless and they just work their way down the hose and meet in the middle! It's also hard to get the thing straight - it arrives tightly coiled and refuses to forget this fact! I need some warm weather to try to get the thing straight by tensioning it for several days. Even so, it's still way more pliable in cold weather than a rubber hose.
I have also noticed when discharging the tank that the euro connector has become slightly leaky when at low pressure - at full pressure it's fine. This is normal for a euro hi-flow and they can be repaired by reversing the rubber washer inside them. The whole connector could also be replaced if the leak gets annoying.
I have listed a few annoyances, although they are not that major (and should be fixable when I can be arsed). Don't let this put you off as it's a good hose and you shoudl be seriously be considering these if you need a hose (and even if you don't).
One last thing, don't mistake these hoses for PVC hoses. Although they are both plastic, they are NOT the same. PU is the way to go.
