Comparative great value

Neumann's version is $400, Telefunken's is $100. Do the math. The M701 seems so far to be a well-made, professional-level device.

Rack ears do not a pro model make.

Controls are flimsy and "muddy" feeling. Counter only works on the Dub-deck side. FF and RW are slow! You have to DL the application to transfer via USB, which is in mono only, and automatically converts to MPEG-3. I have only had for 3 weeks, so I don't know if is durable. This is NOT a "professional" unit.
